The Fairmont Pacific Rim opened in time for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, and has become an iconic property in downtown Vancouver. The hotel issued a press release to announce it has become the first hotel in Canada to debut ICE (Interactive Customer ExperienceTM) by Intelity in all of its 377 guest rooms and suites, set to be implemented in mid-July of 2012.The iPad 2 units will act as a virtual concierge and allow guests to access room controls, restaurant reservations, ordering in-room dining, spa treatments, valet parking, airport transportation/schedules, housekeeping requests, researching information on cultural and entertainment attractions and much more. The Fairmont Pacific Rim will also launch their own ICE mobile app for guests to download prior to their arrival.
“The commitment from our team to take care of our guests has been exemplary since day one, and this superb technology will serve to further assist all our colleagues in doing so” comments Philip Barnes, General Manager and Regional Vice President. “The Intelity ICE implementation will assist the team in consistently reaching their number one goal – ensuring every guest leaves happy.”
“We are east to west with Fairmont,” comments Intelity President and CEO, David Adelson. “From the Plaza Hotel in New York City to the iconic Fairmont Pacific Rim, ICE Touch on the iPad2 will serve guests with one touch of a finger.”
